Overview
Soundboard helps independent artists understand their streaming earnings. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest — if anything is unclear, email us at privacy@soundboard.app.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase).
- Profile information. Anything you choose to add in your settings — artist name, genre, home country, career stage, links to your other accounts.
- Streaming earnings data. The CSV reports you upload from DistroKid, TuneCore, Spotify for Artists, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TIDAL, Bandcamp, and other distributors.
- Usage information. Standard server logs needed to keep the service running (timestamps, error reports, IP addresses for rate limiting).
How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the Soundboard dashboard service: parsing your earnings reports, generating analytics, comparing your numbers to industry benchmarks, sending the notifications you opted into, and keeping your account secure.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your earnings data with anyone outside the small set of service providers required to run the product (Supabase for database/auth, Resend for email, Anthropic for the AI brief generator). Each of those providers is bound by their own privacy terms and only handles data in service of features you use.
Cookies
We use the minimum cookies needed to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Closing your session or signing out clears the auth cookies.
Your choices
- Delete your data. The Settings → Data tab has a one-click delete that removes all uploaded earnings reports from our database. You can also email us to delete your full account.
- Email preferences. Settings → Notifications lets you turn off the weekly summary, milestone alerts, and benchmark updates.
- Export your data. Email us and we will provide a copy of everything we have on file for your account.
